I consider myself to be an environmental artist because, I respond to current environmental problems and I use my design skills to try and solve/highlight these problems; my main focus is on consumer waste. I design and make lights from plastic drink bottles found on our cities streets. I give them a second use and at the same times shift peoples’ perception on reuse. I am also passing comment on current manufacturing practices which could become more sustainable …to me each empty plastic bottle has a second value and offers opportunity. Background
